I, on behalf of the South East Manipur College, Komlathabi extend my warm greetings to all the newcomers as well as the present students of the College to the SEMCO family. I am honored to welcome you to be part of an esteemed and academically rich institute in rural areas. 

The College has been nurturing students of various communities in the State for the last 39 years and many have outshone in various fields. The college has the opportunity to educate the underprivileged students and shape them in such as way that they are able to live a healthy and harmonious life. Our vision to bring quality education for all the students irrespective of caste and creed has enabled us to educate the students on one platform. By God's grace, the College is progressing day by day - Library and Administrative system are fully automated; CCTV cameras are installed; Computers are available for the use of students and staff of the College; Modern methods of teaching aids are provided in the Departments; Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is actively functioning to uphold quality education; Student's Union is functional under the guidance of the teachers; Teachers are well experienced and qualified to help you progress in your academic career; Non-teaching staff is also dedicated and committed to serving the College. Your sincere effort along with the prompt guidance of the teachers will surely enable you to get blessings and success in your endeavors. 

I am also happy and proud to share that two(2) of our students were placed in the toppers lists i.e. 10th position in Political Science (H) and 10th again in Physical Education in the academic session 2018-19. 

My dear students, as the world is changing day by day with the advancement in Science & Technology, you cannot achieve your goal until you keep pace with the changing world. Therefore you need to break the ice, participate in every field, be adventurous, equipped yourself with proper knowledge, habits and attitudes and shape your behavior and give importance to holistic development. 

The College has a Vocational course in Horticulture under RUSA. You can enroll yourself, learn and earn certificates besides your general course of study. The College also has B.Voc. Courses in Information & IT Services and Food Processing and Engineering. You can enhance your skill development through these courses for better job opportunities in future. The College organizes Seminars/workshops and awareness programmes on various issues. Do participate and share your views and learn to enhance your knowledge. Be regular in your classes and make maximum use of the time spent in the College to gain knowledge and achieve your goal. Sincerity, punctuality, discipline and hard work are the keys to success.
